Whoa, this is some funky stuff. The nose is briny and mildewy, like a damp basement near the ocean. The palate starts with peat and then gets very sweet and a bit chemically, like artificial sweetener. By the finish, it's downright perfumey in character with some light peat on the palate. This is weird stuff and the flavor profile is sort of a mess. Tasting blind, I would probably have guessed Connemara, the peated Irish Whiskey.
n: old satchel of floral potpourri and light cedar, citrus and vanilla candles, some dusty smoke and pleather. Wallpaper paste.
t: surprisingly very sweet (like liquid sweet-n-low) and full of heather and floral elements that fights with the peat smoke side. The middle moves quickly to new make and green grass. Finishes sweet and damp heather. Reminds me of a rose water. The density and higher ABV helps this because when I added water it made it go downhill.
n: Bitter orange rinds and a bit too much alcohol fumes.
p: Citrusy and sweet, especially in the back of the mouth. Doesn't go too far beyon that. It's is simple with subtle flavors. Perhaps an easy sipper if it wasn't a little hot.
