N: Peat with light sherry. Matchsticks, wet hay, and cracked white pepper. Sweetness comes from vanilla and powdered sugar. Complex and very balanced.

P: Rich and full bodied. The sherry has a bigger presence on the palate. Sherry fruits, iodine, BBQ meats, and bitter dark green fruits/ veggies. Bitter licorice with lots of minty eucalyptus.

F: Long peaty maritime finish.

Great structure and compact flavors. Delicious!

Oh yeah, this'll do it! The nose on this guy is knock your socks off bold sherry with some apples and a nice whiff of peat to bring it all together. Just as you think it doesn't get any better, the palate drives through chocolate, molasses, honey. Has a relatively thick mouth feel. Not a huge finisher, but it doesn't entirely disappoint, as the flavors continue to be outstanding.

Pretty epic journey.

N: Nice, faintly ashy with a soft, rich, but gentle peat. Gently malty as well, sweet on the nose, and some cocoa late.

P: Firm peat, a little heat. Rich red fruit influences, a bit of wood underneath everything, and a touch of chocolate.

F: Heat as it goes down, a hint of chocolate as it all starts.

Very nice - rich mixture of peat and some fruit from the sherry; a little heat keeps it vital and young. The cocoa notes (which as the night went on became more pronounced) were absolutely beautiful.

Light brown color. Sweet nose with a lot of chocolate and some subtle sherry. The palate is really intriguing with a fantastic blend of the elements from the nose plus big smoke and wood elements. Smoke bomb on the way down. Absolutely delicious! A-/A [1/4/13]
