Kentucky Bourbon Distillers does not actually distill any whiskey, they purchase bulk whiskey (typically from Heaven Hill) and bottle it under various labels. Their bottling operation is located in the former Willett Distillery.
N: Cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon. P: Just a spice fest, real brash and in your face spice, very thick and coating. F: Goes on forever, cherries...and then a heck of a lot of wood. The first time I tried this I gave it an A-, but I've downgraded to B+ based on the wood factor. Beware if you are sensitive to woodiness, you probably won't like this one. But I like it.
Nose of crayons, salt water taffy, honey, and spice. Palate is quite oaky and tannic, and keeps the mild sweetness from ever holding center stage. I'm not super-crazy about it, but it's good bourbon for certain.
Very spicy with vanilla sweetness and cookie dough. Pretty thin and dry on the palate. Its sour, very woody with lots of resinous notes. I wasnt too fond of this.
