Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon is brand of a bourbon whiskey produced in Bardstown, Kentucky by the Willett Distillery. It is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey brand introduced in 2008 and bottled at 47% abv, with 8–10 year aging.
Willett Pot Still Reserve bourbon started life as a single barrel expression of other distiller’s bourbon. For recent releases, the single barrel expression has been dropped in favor of small batch. In addition, while it seems likely that Willett’s own bourbon will eventually make its way into their namesake brand, current bottles likely still include sourced bourbon.
taste: dried citrus, nutmeg, and caramel. Raw peanut and cherry cola syrup. Gets kinda hot, then morphs into brown sugar sweetness. The finish is nice and oaky with a bit of herbal spice and caramel.
I'm not into the awkward bottle design and not sure why this is allocated. [B-/B]
