Produced by Brown-Forman in Shively, Ky, Old Forester’s 72% Corn, 18% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley is the same mashbill used for Woodford Reserve and Old Forester Birthday Bourbon.
n: vanilla caramel popcorn ball, nice full nose with kettle corn sweetness and vanilla oak. Wheat pancakes with maple syrup and butter.
t: buttery kettle corn, nice and chewy bite with a rounded sweet spot. Heavily buttered waffles, but still oaky and doesn't get too sweet. Long and spicy finish with charred wood and vanilla toffee. Fun and simple, this is an easy to enjoy bourbon and solid for the price point. I prefer this to Brown-Forman’s flagship premium bourbon, Woodford Reserve. [B/B-]
