The nose is heavy on the sulfur with sherry notes underneath. There's some fruit under there but it's hard to get at with all of the big sulfur notes. The palate is pretty similar to the nose with a big blast of sulfur up front followed by some much lighter, sweeter fruit notes (mostly grape). It tastes strong for its abv. The finish has a bit of sweetness, especially on the nose but a lot of sulfur on the palate, and after a few seconds, it develops a strong bitterness. I imagine there will be some folks who will really love this. I tend to be very sensitive to sulfur notes so it's not huge for me, though the sulfur does seem to dissipate a bit with some air.
Fuji

Musty and rusty.  Decaying moist grass.  Graham cracker, white wine and a bit of peat smoke on the palaere. Medium length savory finish. B-/B
Ries

n: ash and soot on the nose, with white sugar sweetness. Caramel and wet grass. Smoke and hot sawn wood. Over ripe fruit and hint of sulphur.

t: quite sweet (simple syrup) initial, with burnt maraschino cherry, and wet campfire smoke. Blackened marshmallow and bland, ashy smoke in the middle. Mineral and more berry sweetness in a decent finish, but this doesn't come together well. Moss, sour rag, flat finish. Comes off as a modern approach whisky that was hastily put together.  [C/C+]
