This has the typical dense in your face medicinal peaty notes of the previous 10 year cask strength bottles but has more dark tarry notes and sulphur. Hickory smoke and rubber dominate the palate with a big briney kick. Some sherry notes midpalate with a medium finish of rubber and sulphur.
It still packs a satisfying punch you might expect from the cask strength but I think it lacks complexity and balance.
