N: Apricot, sweet plastic, leather, slightly sherried, floral, candied.

P: Sweet, tastes "darker" than it looks. Smoothness of a blend, but more complexity & richness of a single malt. A little peaty.

F: Cigars. Peat is most present here.

Richer than I'd expect from a younger blend. Extrememly drinkable. I like it a little better with a few drops of water.

N: Nice, light and fruity nose with a little hint of pear, some vanilla. A little thin, some light pepper spice and some traces of grain. Opens up a bit but is generally light, sweet, and a touch thin.

P: Wood leads initially, a little bitter and thin, with a slightly hard grain to it. Some light smoke on the palate, kind of a rich mellow presence. A hint of pepper, some creamy vanilla, and a little waxiness.

F: Nice gentle smoke, some vanilla sweetnes, a trace of sherry richness on the finish. Starts resolving towards a well-integrated wood note. A little bacony, cured meat type note as it dries with some green tea earthiness. Also has some great waxy notes that have a touch of apple to them.

This has a nice old-style integration of smoke into the blend and opens up wonderfully. The finish on this is just great, and it opens up nicely. The hard grain notes initially on the palate don't work for me personally.

The nose is really nice with peat and seaweed and some malt notes behind them. The palate is sweet peat with some fruit notes as well (canned pears) and has a nice, oily mouthfeel. The finish has nice coastal notes.
