N: Old wood furniture (mahogany), sponge cake, raisins, toffee, wood chips, incense, caramel and a bit of salt
P: Apples, pears, cucumbers, black grapes, spiced apple cider, berries and black coffee
F: Crushed mints, gummy bears and salt

Lots of exotic wood smells that reminds me of old expensive wood/ leather upholstery initially in the nose but as you get past that you get lightly sweet fruit and toffee notes. It holds up well on the palate too with more of the fruits coming through with spice. The finish is sweet and savory at the same time. I could drink this all day.

Inviting nose, reminds me of an old sherried Karuizawa, for a backwards analogy. Kind of a resiny, plummy, woody thing.

Palate... well, mainly very aged and forward oak, with equal parts sherry, all watered down. It's quite tasty and massively drinkable, due in no small part to the ABV. Finish is quite oaky and varnishy, but I like it.

Great whisky if you don't mind the low abv. Honestly, a few years ago I'd have rated this higher, but now I'm calling it a B+. Cause that's how I roll.

RETASTE 8 years later: I'm a B on this now. The nose is fantastic, this bouquet is so rare to find now. Initially on the palate it's great... then it gets kinda bitter and flawed, and the more I drink, the more that "pool water" comes to the forefront. But I still like it. I'll leave it at B+ but now I'm B.
