This bourbon is a vatting of 80 barrels of Kentucky bourbon ranging from five to seven years old. It was vatted and bottled by the St. George Distillery in Alameda, California.
The nose has light rye, peanuts and some savory notes. The palate has dry white wine notes with some fruit (apple) in the background. Late palate I get some rye spice which continues into the finish with a bit of bitterness.
With 80 barrels in the mix, this could include a little bit of everything, but the nose resembles some Brown-Froman bourbons I've had. I would guess there is also some Heaven Hill in there as the palate reminds me of some Evan Williams Single Barrels I've had with maybe even some Four Roses in the mix.
It's a fairly unique flavor profile, though too light for my tastes.
