Rubbing alcohol in the nose is too distinct. Palate is way better than the nose -- rich, spice, peppery, and some sherry. Finish is lasting enough. This grows offensive as you drink, though. The finish in particiular sours and gets ickier.
Retaste: Blindly tasted, it's "fine." The grain shows in the rough finish and is detracting. If you want scotch on the rocks (i.e. and cheap), this is the exact scotch to use. C/C+
N: Malt and alcohol, faint estery / floral notes. P: Nothing distinctive at all. F: None. Nothing Bad, nothing good. Definition of a C whiskey. Trying not to offend anyone.
Lost: Aroma and nose on a popular blended whiskey. If found please call Chivas Brothers.
Despite the very weak nose, it actually has some flavor. Malt, grass, sweet, but not excessively so; if you really concentrate, you get some spice notes. Finish picks up very subtle sherry notes.
