This stuff is just so enjoyable.  Punch you in the face spice from start to finish.  It's kinda like Parker Beam says (or maybe Larry Kass says it about Parker), he doesn't taste cinnamon or honey or anything like that, he just tastes bourbon.   Well, this tastes like Rye.  And I know its good.

N: Caramel, spicy - quite pleasant

P: Delicious

F: Rough w/o H20

Really like this stuff. H20 opened it up quite a bit.

Perfect with just a cube of ice.

N: Hot cinnamon, clove; a light nuttiness with some allspice and vanilla sweetness. A little grainy and there's a little flash of rye bread (deli style).

P: Warm and buttery with building hit. Cinnamon and rye in a big way, a little allspice. A touch of vanilla and a bit of roasted apples.

F: Powerful and heat grows. Wood and spice, with plenty of rye.

THH always is underrated in my opinion.

A big rye attack!  Spicy! But theres molasses sweetness mixed with herbal qualities.  Smells of big red cinnamon chewing gum!  Much more oak and woody notes on the palate.  Layers of spices (cinnamon and cloves) followed by dark over extracted tea bitterness and licorice.  Long finish that sticks to the palate.

Retaste 2013

Herbaceous and grassy.  The rye spice is aggressive and concentrated.  Great waxy rye spice with woody herbal root stalk notes. Lingering finish.  B+

n:  Um, rye

p:  Quite good, but not so much as earlier version. More bitter greens than I expected.  Less sweetness.
