Nose:  Very herbal with mint, anise and spice, also floral notes.
Palate:  Very much a young whiskey taste though it tastes more akin to a young rye than a young Bourbon (I believe there is some rye in the recipe).  There is some spice on the palate.  The higher abv gives it a bit more punch than the average corn whiskey but it drinks very smoothly without any alcohol sear.

Mellow Corn is an apt name since it tastes like new make with a bit of the edge taken off.  Still, it's better than your average corn whiskey, for what that's worth.

N: Light; corn present and a general strong sweet presence - similar to but not quite as raw as the more sugary punch of white dog. A light undercurrent of white pepper and some wood which gains strength; slightly floral.

P: Thin mouthfeel that gains a little weight; light wood. Light sweetness, vaguely caramel but heavily sugary. Light white pepper.

F: More wood, a touch of black cherry. White pepper on the palate and some heat. Slightly vegetal.

Not bad, clearly young. More nuance than you might expect.
