Pears, lemons, smoke wisps, fresh green seedless grapes, nectarines and tangerines, fleeting glue wisps, weird organic and grassy flavors... what the hell is going on here? This tastes nothing like a Macallan, and man, is it really good. I mean REALLY good. The finish reminds me of some sort of fruity lollipop, with vague phenols. Every sip reveals greater depth and complexity, becoming more sophisticated. Truly amazing. This is different without being too weird, elegant without being flat or weak or too subtle, and just so darn good without being too anything. People always ask me, "What's the best whisky you've ever had?" Well, that's not a fair question -- but to give a not-fair answer, this is one of them.
