Better than the G&M 40 year. More fruit and balance. More complexity. The sherry is more present on the palate, the fruit in the nose. Not bad for $75. But it still has that tar bite in the finish -- not good tar.
Sherry nose. Sherry palate. Sherry finish. And I like it! Okay, there's a little more than that... some oranges and citrus stuff in the palate, with lots of dried fruits (thank you sherry), varied floral wisps, and caramel. Basic sherry yummy tastiness. B/B+
Sweet and spicey with cherries and some chocolatey warmth going on. Then it turns to creme soda and cola after a few minutes. Interesting and nice but not great. Fair price for a 25 year though.
