N: Nose is thin, spirity, a wisp of rye. Not expecting a big rich whiskey. P: And this isn't one. To the mass public who equates good liquor with tasteless liquor, this is a superstar. F: Following suit, the finish is perfect with only faint woody sweetness. Although a year older and charcoal filtered, I'd say this is a step down from the standard 4 year Jim Beam. Unless, that is, you are looking for a tasteless mixing whiskey, in which case this is highly recommended.
