Caramel, vanilla, and malt. Easy, easy, easy and drinkable. I really thought this was Glenfiddich 12 (tasted blind), and it has a lot in common with it. There's not a lot to celebrate here, but that's the point of this -- it's just one of those very un-daring, yet gosh-I-just-can't-not-like-you single malts. Excellent price.
N: Lot of caramel and oak, buttery. P: Very sweet, vanilla, not very complex but reasonable enjoyable. F: Sweet and coating. Tasted blind, I would have bet my life this was Glenfiddich 12.
This is a very smooth, easy to drink malt. The nose is light with a little heather. The palette has honey and very light apricot. Classic Speyside characteristics. Like a slightly more oily, young Glen Grant. Good aperitif. Great price.
