N: Big sherry, as expected from the color.
P: Medium to dry sherry, fig, red berries.
F: Woody notes try to hide behind the massive sherry but still manages to get through.
Worth a try based on the huge flavor factor.

Stunningly strong cherrylike nose.  Full bitter sherry that starts slow then peaks seconds later and finishes with an overwhelming vapor.

The nose is massive sherry, on par with what you'd expect given the natural color. I don't get any sulfur, nice.  Dark, dried fruits. The flavor is... well... all I can find to explain is "dry sherry," no matter how much time I spend with the glass.  Dry and chewy, this is basically line with many of these 70's heavily-sherried Glen Grants that seem have popped up over the past few years, and though this is good, it isn't one of the excellent ones.  Tasty, dry, but no magic. I find myself embarrassed to have so little to say about such a rich (seeming and looking) whisky... yet that in itself sort of says what I want to say anyway.
