N: Honey, heather, and candy corn. P: Oily, just a warm maltiness at first, but then a big swell of purple fruit, quite synthetic in nature. Enjoyable at first but then gets kind of annoying. F: Along the same lines as the palate, something cakey. This has some unique aspects but they don't add up.
Wow. This is a nifty one, and a shapeshifter. The nose is waxy, with not a lot going on. The palate betrays the nose, with a rush of mixed spices, mint, malt, anise, hay/grass aspects, all with a very slight sweetness. Oaky too, but with restraint. The finish turns mostly to spice and pepper -- but then in the tails of it there's strong oatmeal, and distinct cinnamon. An interesting one for sure.
Splendid nose, sweet and rich. It's tasty but is disappointing after the nose. Is there sherry in this? The sweetness hints at it. The finish is crisp and peppery, with no other noticable taste, which is a bit disappointing
