Nose of shoe polish and peat. Taste of some sweetness, peat, medium-full bodied. Overall, kind of one-dimensional, but nevertheless interesting. Rumor has it this is Lagavulin and it almost has to be.
Nose: tequila and peat, not inviting. Palate quiet then crescendo of peat, but not warm and friendly. Simple, steady, one-note, not complex. Balance is too balanced, uninteresting.
N: Peat, pretzels (with salt and pepper on it). Peppercorns, brine. P: Big smoke and peat, sweet for a second but then goes dry and sooty... F: ...and the theme continues in the finish. Rumor has it that this is... damn, I just looked at Adam's notes.
