This stuff is just massively drinkable. It’s a classic example of a peated whiskey that’s not too overwhelming in any aspects, very well balanced, and continually enjoyable. The smoke is still quite present, an earthy, sooty variety, but not at kick-in-the-crotch strength. I had the unusual pleasure of killing a bottle of this with a couple friends, start to finish, in one evening… and I still felt pretty good the next day. That’s gotta count for something extra.
