Oh wow the nose is a really great sooty smoke, not off-putting or overwhelming, but like a snug embrace. Palate is really big and tarry, oily, diesel-y, tarry... did I say tarry? Continues the theme through the finish, this is just damn good stuff. Complex.

When I got into malts, this is what great Ardbeg was like. And you just can't find this flavor profile any more without paying a ton at auction.
