I spent a few hours helping drain a bottle, cracked seal to empty. At first it was good if a bit underwhelming… I went in non-blind and knowing to keep my expectations contained, but I still wanted more out of it. As the pours went on it opened up into something really great. So I was B+ at first, but it became an A-, particularly because it has the quality that pulls you back for more without a bumpy finish getting in the way.
Nose is honey, vanilla, grass, and hints of smoke, all in a cotton candy coating. Palate continues this theme, and like I said, it blossoms as the glass drains. Water makes the palate sweeter and bigger, with a fruitier nose, but also hurts the finish.
