Distilled in June 1974, spent forty-three years maturing in a refill bourbon barrel. Bottled at cask strength November 2017 at 43.9% ABV. Cask #20 yielded 196 bottles.
n: honeysuckle flower, sweet chai, toasted coconut, old paper in a dusty woodshop. Vanilla bourbon in a tin cup.
t: tasty controlled sweetness, angel food cake dough, toasted + dried coconut, with a bit of a bite to it still to make it interesting. The cohesive finish mellows out to a dry oak, hint of key lime pie, and powdered sugar on oatmeal.
