n: dry straw, lemon custard with torched merengue. Leather furniture, orange peel and gentle hint of smoke.
t: delicate notes of waxy apricots, white chocolate, and rich oak. The phenols and most of the smoke has completely faded in a soft whisper of complexity and flavors of leather, smoked white pepper, and honey. Thin mouthfeel and watery finish hurts the overall quality of this whisky. Unique and fun to taste this aged Laphroaig but most of the Islay essence has faded with time in the cask. [B]
