"A premium blended American whiskey with a mash bill of rye, corn and barley" finished in French oak casks from Napa, as well as the company's "signature gold finishing method."
Nose is light and inviting. European white nougat, chardonnay, with the familiar woody notest that you find in some younger craft spirits.
Palate is mildly fruity, pleasantly apricoty-peachy on a vanilla background, all very light. If I were tasting this blind, I'm not sure I'd know what it was. I might peg it as a blended scotch.
It all gets kind of alcohly in the finish, and increasingly so the more the glass drains. It passes the sip test pretty well, but fails the glass test. Although I do think this would be pretty good for certain cocktails, and maybe that's what it's intended for.
