Selected by hand exclusively for Feis Ile 2017, from casks matured at the home of No.1 Vaults, Bowmore's bottling is 11 years of age and has been matured in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-red wine casks. Bottled at cask strength and limited to only 4000 bottles.
n: dates, synthetic rubber, red berries, + salt char. Smouldering campfire and a metallic note.
t: blackberry syrup with a strong plastic/phenolic sharp taste and bakers chocolate. A lot of fruit jam (blackberry + currants) and oak with charred vanilla. Overall a bit synthetic with the skewed winey aspect - especially in the finish. It's weird, and part of me likes that and part of me isn't in tune...
