The nose comes on with vanilla extract, very sweet baking notes and then grainy alcohol notes. The palate starts with that raw grainy note but then turns fruity with dried pruned and then syrupy sweet before fading into a dried fruit finish.
This is weird stuff. Tasting blind I might guess it was an American craft whiskey that had been finished in some weird cask. The dried fruit notes are there but it doesn't taste much like a sherried malt, more like a grain whiskey.
