Sienna 100% first fill sherry casks of American and Spanish Oak
The second-darkest whisky in Macallan's 1824 Series, comprising of naturally coloured whiskies selected by hue and flavour. This has been matured in sherry casks and balances rich dried-fruit sweetness with some lighter, spicier notes. Sienna is made from older stock than Gold and Amber.
Stronger sherry influence. Heavy caramel, orange marmalade, nicely complex, and more resinous/old style. Apricots with cocoa powder in the finish. [solid B]
