Stark Spirits is a Pasadena-based (LA) distillery.   Bottled 2/18/2016

Note:  No rating will be given since I had involvement with the spirit and am a friend of the owners.

n:  Auto shop with drying raisins and tobacco

p:  Bacon, maple syrup, motor oil, dry leaves.  White pepper and iron take over toward the finish.  This definitely leans toward the Balcones in-your-face-with-flavor craft American whiskey experience.  Not subtle.
