Made the same way as the 12 year old by a combination of three different cask types - Oloroso Sherry casks, first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, and what The Balvenie calls “traditional whisky casks”. This is an international, duty-free release.

n: green apple sauce, brown sugar, caramel, oaky spice, and sweet vanilla.

t: Malty - tastes of banana cream pie, honey hardcandy, and some gentle spice. Quite sweet with waxed fruit and biscuit dough in the finish. Very limp body and difficult to find the flavour components. It's easy to drink, but very boring and safe. The nose was the best aspect. [C+/B-]
