Pretty good stuff. I’ll admit that the NAS of it made me skeptical, but I was quickly swayed. Green apples, pinot grigio, citrus, white pepper, goodness.
Pit fruit, malt, toffee, dried apricots, citrus and a taffy sweetness with a light waxy and minerally alkaline character floating on top. Water brings the waxiness up even higher.
PALATE
Fruit, toffee, hay, wax and citrus followed by a touch of wood, saline and earthiness. Pretty decent in overall profile, but lacking in complexity and all water seems to do is bring out more waxiness.
FINISH
Long and waxy with notes of fruit, lemon zest, hay and a woody earthiness.
- This is a waxy little bugger. At full CS it’s not overpoweringly waxy, but if you add some water that waxy character really kicks up. All-in-all it's a MOTR whisky that's a decent sipping whisky -
n: rich scalded berries, milk cocoa, black cherries. Vanilla malt and old leather. Fruit Loops cereal in a bowl of milk. Sour yellow cherry.
t: dark tahitian vanilla and luxardo cherry syrup with green apple skin and an earthy quality. Plums and overripe peaches in middle. Dry leather and tobacco leaf with old sherry cask in finish. [B/B+]
