t: strong - starts really hot. Cinnamon Hots candy, but turns quickly to a nice rounded bourbon with full body and oak in the middle. Deep oak char that drys the tongue, orange zest, and cinnamon roll finish. My favourite from the BTAC 2015 releases.
Nose is nice. Chocolate, malt, cherry, vanilla were some of the aromas I captured. The palate is obviously big, but it has the typical Stagg astringency I do not like. It takes away some of the nice undertones for me: toasted oak chief among them. I like this Stagg, but compared to the WLW 2015, I thought it wasn't much of a competition. [12/6/15]
