The nose starts with bananas foster and ends with rotten bananas. The palate is banana liqueur and the finish is banana candy. Surprisingly, it's not too hot for the high abv. Well, JD delivers the bananas, which I suppose their fans must like. I don't much like bananas though.
n: caramel on buckwheat pancakes, bananas foster, charcoal briquettes. Hint of smoke and quite sweet.
t: menthol and simple syrup - very sweet and quirky. First up is green banana skin with candied nuts and then the buckwheat pancakes appear in the middle. Finish is over-ripe banana and cellophane wrapped caramel candy chews (quite plasticy and artificial). The banana candy and high ABV% really amplifies the distillery profile. Kinda odd, but enjoyable in a perverse way, but it is hard to drink...
