The nose is floral, earthy and fruity. The palate comes on with sickly sweet candy notes, like Kool-Aid. The sweetness dissipates after a few seconds but there's nothing much left, or whatever is left is so dominated by the initial sweetness that it's undetectable. The finish tastes like artificial sweetener. Yuck.
n: charred oak, maple, and brown sugar. Potpourri, drying lacquer, and more wood.
t: very intense oak with a lot of burnt caramel sweetness. Maple syrup over corn bread. Tannic oak and charcoal in a sharp tannic finish, almost astringent. Really jagged and intense - doesn't coalesce. Would probably make a great manhattan though...
