The nose is caramel with lemon rind and cinnamon. The palate is a Christmas spice pack with ginger, brown sugar, orange rind and clove; the late palate has some nice oak. It gets minty and medicinal on the finish. Good but not exceptional.
This came up in a tasting of many Wild Turkey 101 proofers, with the tasting order blinded (whiskies are known beforehand, but blinded among themselves). It stood out as the best of the night. I gave all of the other dozen or so bottles a "meh" or "mehhhh" or some form of that, but this one was "Not meh!" And a little painty.
