n: sweet nose of burnt brown sugar cookies and fresh corn that's been grilled with the husk still on. Very syrupy with molasses, a hint of tahitian vanilla, and raw rye bread dough (all kinda scorched).
t: tastes like it smells but predominately the "sweet corn in a husk, grilled on an open fire". Nice level of char in the middle with a thick coating of margarine and some phenols in the sweet finish. Interesting, but the burnt sweet corn is the main flavour component and that's about it. Still, I'd have to say this is one of the better corn whiskies available (though the True Blue CS version is more satisfying). [batch 131315.1, C+/B- ]
