The nose has peat, malt and fruit. The fruit is of the canned pear, fruit cocktail variety - more of what you get from a bourbon cask than a wine cask. The palate on this is really nice. Sweet fruit (like the syrup from said canned fruit) with light peat coming through toward the end and into the finish, though the taste of fruit is still present on the tongue.

Highly drinkable and enjoyable.
