Made from a mash of 80% malted rye and 20% chocolate rye, this rye whiskey is distilled by the 2013 Craft Distillery of the Year. Once the whiskey has been distilled, it is aged in 15 gallon, charred American oak casks for just under one year.

n: buttery rye toast, nice and creamy and dense with an inviting spice. Bread & butter pickles (not dill) and roasted ballpark peanuts.

t: follows nose with a lot of creamy rye spice, oaky dark vanilla, and a bit of red berry fruit roll-ups. This is a nice sipping rye. [solid B.]
