Available in limited quantities, this pot-distilled whiskey was crafted from victory barley and buckwheat.
Corsair Buck Yeah is a pot-distilled American whiskey crafted from victory barley and buckwheat. Buckwheat is an ancient grain that has been cultivated for over 6000 years, and has a remarkable in its ability to grow in difficult conditions without the use of fertilizers or pesticides.
n: moist wheat bread, damp wood, some orange citrus. The buckwheat is main element - smells like wheat in a very damp field.
t: soft and nicely semi-sweet initially, but the middle is where the buckwheat asserts itself; it has a day old coffee taste to it. Kinda sweet + bitter + sour all at the same time with some vanilla creamer. Campfire burnt marshmallow and dark chocolate covered coffee bean finish. Interesting, I like the experimental aspect to this. [B-.]
