The nose is peated rubbing alcohol. The palate is peat, just peat, disassociated from any other flavors. It's not a particularly strong peat, but it doesn't have anything giving it texture. It's like peated water, and despite the strong abv, it goes down pretty much like water. The finish is lightly peated.
This is an odd malt. It's strangely flavorless for a peated malt. There's no smoke or sizzle... It's like a malt made by (and possibly for) robots.
