Butterscotch candies in the nose, varnish, figs, leather. Palate is sweet and nice, fairly what the palate advertised. The finish is lacking though, it lasts at length mostly in an alcoholic, spiritous way. Not quite the Stagg I once loved, but still great stuff.
The nose is buttered french toast. The palate is dry with oak and wood spice. Water brings out more bitterness than anything else though also a touch of vanilla. The finish has spicy oak notes.
Corn forward. Waffles with butter. Toasted walnut. Dry cinnamon stick dark brown sugar. Very spirituous and the proof really shows here. Scorched caramel and very charred oak with a mouth drying finish.
