Good, solid stuff and an example of what I just think of as a good "bourbony bourbon" -- well rounded, equal parts vanilla, caramel, apples and fall fruits, spice, oak, and tastiness. Might just be the season on my mind, but I get pumpkin pie out of it too. B+/A-
N: Very big nose with lots of oak and leather bound books. P: The palate doesn't quite live up to the nose, very nice but not as rich as I thought it would be. F: Sweet and tannic, a bit dusty.
The nose is pure candy followed by a touch of clove. The palate is rye spice and cinnamon with slight medicinal notes. The finish is sweet on the nose and spicy on the palate.
