The Very Olde St. Nick brand was designed for the export market only. It was originally supplied by Julian Van Winkle III (of Pappy fame) and then shifted over to Even Kulsveen (Willett). These were all bottled in the early to mid 2000s.
The nose is sweet with some oak providing nice balance. The palate has sweet iced tea with a slight spice infusion. The finish is mild. This is one of those "smooth" bourbons; it's very easy to drink and fun.
Note: The Very Olde St. Nick line was sampled swiftly during a busy tasting. To add to the difficulty, they were all simple and boring making notes difficult. The ratings were easily placed, however.
