"Nikka Whisky founder Masataka Taketsuru, known as the "father of Japanese whisky," brought together all his passion and know-how to create Tsuru blended whisky. Over 17 years, this highly refined blend has been honed further by the hands of time to be reborn as the pinnacle of Nikka whisky. Its dignified nobility shrouded in delicate grace is the very essence of Nikka."
Nose of bright honey and lavender. Hint of public bathroom that was recently cleaned (come on, you know that smell). Palate is overtly sweet, with honey, and very oily. Finish is medium-length, medium-rich.
n: green applesauce, lacquered wood, and Cadbury™ vanilla cream chocolate covered egg. Very fruity, sharp, drying acrylic paint.
t: follows nose - but this is all so gentle and soft. Oily body with a floral potpurri essence, touch of oak, and more of the green apple. Finish is nice with a pine needle, mushroom, and a wisp of smoke, but overall very delicate - would have to be the first whiskey of the night or it's nuances will be lost.
