n: smoke, new cardboard box, toasted wheat bagel. Very light peat influence and very typical Balvenie.
t: butter biscuits, overall gentle sweetness, with a hint of soft peat just towards the finish. This is a solid, fun Balvenie to try, but nothing to get excited about (especially for the Islay influence).
I don't understand how this is different than "tablespooned" whisky (i.e. not "single malt"). Surely there was more than a tablespoon's worth of another distillery in this barrel...
