The Isle of Skye is a legendary Island and home of Talisker Distillery in the north-east of Scotland producing a "one-of-a-kind" single malt popular all over the world. Usually the distillery character is smoky and spicy and this is complemented perfectly by a extra maturation in an amoroso sherry cask that gives a sweetness perfectly fitting in this Talisker Distillers Edition 2013. Distilled in 2002 and Bottled in 2013
n: smokey red berry jam in sea brine. Sweet pickle juice poured in a campfire.
t: initial is salt water taffy, heavy on the smoke and salt that fights between the brine and sweetness. Nothing seems to quite come together. The changing flavour is fun but it remains disjointed. Vanilla finish with a continuous smouldering smoke.
