n: lemon merengue pie, smoked salt, and torched citrus peel. This has a a copious amount of dried citrus and dry wood smoke with a nice touch of buttercream and plum.
t: follows nose with full amount of lemon citrus wax with the peat smoke following quickly behind that for a delicious blend of contrasting flavours that come together nicely. Nice robust oak character and the high ABV makes this a dense and delicious whisky. Finish is ashy and more oak char. Nice whisky, probably the best Jura I have tasted. I really enjoyed the high strength ABV.
Adding water brings out the smoke but dampens the warm citrus.
