The nose is spicy with ginger and rye. The palate is dry and medicinal with far less spice than the nose but peppery toward the end. The finish is minty on the nose and peppery on the palate. Water improves the palate and brings out some nice rye notes. The nose and palate are wonderful on this one but the palate is a bit of a let down.
