Deep golden amber color with a red-orange overlay. The nose features wafts of alcohol, some sugar and wheat. With some air, the hard edges disappear and some caramel comes out. The palatte is creamy and some oak, but quickly has a bitter wood in the mid-palate. Nice long finish. Overall I did think it was a nice bold bourbon. [3/5/14]
